Attached is a copy of the ships original manifest for the Lokaj family passage from Antwerp to New York on or around November 7, 1907. According to the ships manifest, Tomasz traveled with his wife Sophie and their two sons Josef and Tadeuz. The family’s ultimate destination was Kingmound West Virginia USA. According to the manifest, Tomasz’ place of birth was Potoczek Russia and their last place of residence also appears to be Potoczek Russia. Other U.S. documents list the villages and towns of Pillgard Russia, Kreson Poland, Potache Poland and Potoceik Russia as places of residence and births. The only valid village/town found thus far has been Potoczek and their are a few of them. Some of the other U.S. documents mention that Tomasz had come from the Ukraine. Can anyone help me identify the correct “Potoczek” and give me the name of either the Roman Catholic or Polish National church for that village?
