so, if Szczepan is Stefan – the Russian equivalents are:
STIEPAN – surname going from this name could be Stiepanowicz
cyrillic! – СТЕПАН, СТЕПАНОВИЧ,СТЕПА

Stepan
Stiopa / Styopa
but it could be much better to wait for our friends opinion from for example Ukraine forum (Hanna – greetings!).

Hi Sue and Pat!

I wonder nothing is immpossible on this Forum with all of us (let’s do hope)!! So to have for example all names searched by Norbert in cyrillic alphabet I want to propose to “use” for the first time our 2003 Christmas gift for all – “PGF Searching Room” in our (fully nonprofit) family memories internet gallery GA.PA –
hmmm…, paradoxically not in Polish language but in Russian (why not, world is small and common), so in 12 hours (sorry but I’am in home now and deep night is coming) you will see it in this special internet “site”:

like first point in this “room”.

Dear all Forum,
we would be happy when this additional PGF searching tool, this “new internet searching site”, will be useful for all of you in 2004 and in next years with checking all family documents in Polish language (it turned out that with the others also)!
