Subject: Help with records from Lubowidz, near Zuromin > www.narodowa.pl/help
I have attached two records I found today on LDS films from the parish Lubowidz, near Zuromin. They are the birth records of my great grand-parents. I could use help in translating or obtaining information from these records. Last summer, Gilberto and others helped me locate this town and this is verification that we were right! It also confirms that my great grandparents knew each other in Poland before immigrating and marrying in the United States!
The first record is for Stanislaw Dabrowski, born in 1867. I believe it is in Polish. His father’s name is Andrej Dabrowski and his mother is Agnetia (looks like Agninski?) Katrowska. The writing is difficult to read but I had these names from Stanislaw and Eufemia’s US marriage record from Buffalo, NY.
The second record is for Eufemia Szumlinska, born in 1871. I believe this is in Russian. Eufemia’s father was Josef Szumlinski and her mother was Leokadja Rasztemborska.
I notice that while both of these records came from the same parish, there are names of towns in the margins. Is this where the families lived?
