Iam sending a copy of the only paper work I have in my great great grandfathers hand writting. I hope this can help.Reading the bottom part he was born in Poland but when he was one moved to Germany.

he changed it when he left Germany.
Nazywam się Ryszard Welka
To nazwisko to Welka rodzina stara. Nazwisko ma 2100 lat.
Nieraz w niektórych parafiach było skracane na Welk ale oryginalne to Welka .
Niemcy zapisywali jako Welke.
Pozdrawiam z Polski.
Prawdopodobnie pochodzili z Czarnków Wielkopolska.
