ORAL TRADITION ABOUT FRANCISZKA’S DEATH
The oral tradition about Fransiszka’s death was handed down in the family as follows:
On Friday afternoon of March 15, 1918, Franciszka was doing laundry in the basement and came up from the basement to prepare lunch for her 17 year old son, Carol Bronislaw Kalski. After lunch, Carol went down to the local pool hall to play pool with his friends and Franciszka laid down on the sofa to rest. Shortly after arriving at the pool hall, one of Carol’s friends arrived and told him that an ambulance as at his home and his mother was being taken. Carol rushed home to find that his mother died of a cardia arrest. Franciszka was 38 years old.
