Polish genealogical and historical “pearl” – “As they call them” this is how the priest entered the parents’ surnames in the record book …
I warmly welcome visitors to our shared website Narodowa.pl with timeless family memories and memorabilia.
I am sending you another genealogical and historical little gem, this time found in the parish books of Godziszewo, Pomerania, village of Boroszewo Wielkie, year 1708.
The priest, not knowing the parents’ surname, simply entered in the registry book “What are their names” (sic!).
This may explain many “blank pages” in discovering the family roots and life histories of Poles.
I extend my warmest greetings to all amateur genealogists, professionals, and all those others who have not yet caught the genealogy bug, hence the miserable ones do not know what they are missing in their beautiful lives.
